3 Lights of Creation
http://www.nurmuhammad.com/NaqshbandiSecrets/3lightsofcreation.htm
Rajabun Shahrullah, Shaban shahr an-Nabi and Ramadan opening shahr al-
ummah.
The Secret of the three Recitations of Surah Ya-Seen [36] and Allah
granting us the secret of life, wa laqad karamna bani Adam (as).
The Divine heart wants to be known. The favor of Rajab is to be free
from intercession of anything in creation. That is, no creation has
yet manifested in the ocean of creation. No angel and no creation will
bring that reward to us. That is from the secret of the Divine heart
that is moving in Rajab and from the creation of that light which is
moving in Rajab. We recite the first Surah Ya-Seen for the reality of
that heart and recite the first of three Surat al-Ikhlas, which is
from that divine heart. This is the inclination of the Divine to
create creation.
Once that will is begun the divine act of the manifestation of
creation occurs.
Next Ya-Seen is for shahr Shaban.
Rajab is the light of La ilaha ila-Allah
& Muhammadan RasulAllah is for Shaban.
He is ash-Shafi.
The secret of Shaban is related to the secret of Prophet [s]. If not
for Muhammadan RasulAllah that ocean would not have manifested. The
second Ikhlas in our awrad is related to that Creation of The Unique
Light of Existence or Ahadiyya [Uniqueness]. That light is the
originating source of all light and is unique because it comes from
the Divine Presence. Any other color on that spectrum of light is from
it.
The Samadiyya [Self Sustaining] is the light directly from the Divine
Presence. You cannot feed it nor give it sustenance and therefore it
is being received directly from the Divine Presence.
The light of Shaban is manifesting from the light of the Prophet [s].
When you write the Kalima, the importance of nisf Shaban is the mid
point which is called the "qaaba qawsayni aw adna". Two Bow lengths or
nearer. The point where the two points intersect is the spiritual new
year and that is where our light is coming into existence. Whatever is
dressed upon that light is coming onto that point and is dressed at
that specific point of time. Only Allah bestows or dresses that light
and it is the originating source of your light. At that point He
decides what sustenance your soul will receive for that year.
By the month of Ramadan that light is born. It is the ninth lunar
month.
The importance of nine and the manifestation appears in that month.
Ramadan is the month in which our light is born. Like the Gestation of
a Child in the Womb [Rhem] That manifestation from the light of
Prophet [s] is born and its sustenance is decreed and given existence.
The 3 hearts:
* 1 - Divine Heart that no one can reach and is the originating
source of fire, love and intuition. It is the originating spark and
that divine heart is found only in the heat of the second heart.
* 2 -The Heart of Sayyidina Muhammad (s). The quloob al-
Muhammadiyya and the heart of creation. This is the Container of all
power in this known universe
Wa laqad karamna bani Adam (as).
The reason we study the heart is not for the cosmos but is based on
the heart is the presence of The Divine.
* 3 – Adam’s (as) Heart. You are the only creation given that
heart as it is a reflection of the Prophetic heart and only through
this heart can you reach to Allah’s gift. Open that heart, go forward
into it and reflect. That is the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad (s). You
do not point to any direction or focus on anything except that one
heart. You point your telescope towards that direction so that your
Kabah is your heart. When you are coming for this purpose and freeing
Mecca by destroying the 360 idols, you are now copying the Prophet’s
marifah and He will take you to Divine Presence.
The Holy Prophet’s example for us:
1. Live in Mecca, i.e.. "Your Hearts Desires"
2. Must leave Mecca, i.e.. "Your Hearts Desires"
3. Move Towards Medina Al Munawira " City of LIGHTS"
4. Major Battles to Save you from Hellfire and then you may return
to Mecca
5. Mecca "The Heart is now filled with Divine Love" and you destroy
the idols. You make your heart and body a Masjid, or place of worship.
It is completely pure and purified for your Lord and free from filth
and idols.
You have 360 idols, one on each point of your body. Each point of the
360 Lataifs/ Chakras has an evilness sitting there, guarding and
preventing it from submitting to the Divine Presence. Through the
focus on the Shaykh and with the meditation and spiritual practices it
becomes much easier to follow the Holy Prophet’s example.
Then the three last big idols must be removed. These are the Three
Jammarat [Stoning of Devils on Hajj] and are the same process in your
spiritual pursuit. As you try to open your heart, by Muraqabah, the
Shaykh is taking away all the evilness on the Lataif / chakras and
making them to submit to the Divine Presence. As we practice more and
more in his way, it is his light and guidance which can remove these
idols.
To achieve this we must be in Muraqabah of the Shaykh.
We must Open the lock upon the ears,
Open the lock on the heart,
and remove the veil on our eyes.
That is why the Arabic letter Sheen is for Arsh [ Divine Throne] has
three dots on it; they are three locks. The purpose of the spiritual
practices is to unlock the three locks on the hearts reaching towards
the Divine heart through the Prophetic heart. These lights are moving
from Rajab to Shaban to Ramadan.
This is the importance of the awrad that we recite. The awrad of
Sayyidina Ali [as] for completion of the Quran is the Naqshbandiyya
wird. That is the fulfillment of reading the Quran with all its
secrets. Intention to recite the awrad on the intention of the
Shaykhs.
Three Surat al-Ikhlas has to do with that reality.
The secret of number 3. We have 1 and then we have 2 which is
reflection of 1.
2 + 1 is three.
Three – from which everything is born. Light of Allah, Light of
Prophet, and Light of Creation.
One is Ahad or Unique Oneness.
One is Wahid Oneness.
One is The Essence and Wahid is the reflection of the Ahad.
One – Allah.
Creation is from the other “one” which is Wahid.
From the one and two the rest of creation is born.
Everything then is born from three. 3+1=4, …3+6=9
Secret of The soul & light is in the understanding of 3.
3 + 1 = 4 form is given. The four elements that make up the form.
3 + 2 = 5
five senses, which you use to find your lord, hearing, seeing,
touching,
smelling and tasting.
3 + 3 = 6 you are a reflection of the divine soul so 6, al-Wadud.
This creation is born from love. HabibAllah, from Allah’s love (ishk),
comes Muhammad (s) from his Love (ishk) comes all creation
3 + 4= 7 The guide, the calipha (al-Hadi), gives birth to the
importance of seven. Seven holy openings, seven levels of the atom. 2
ears, 2 eyes, 2 nostrils a one mouth. Soul and Form are Created and a
Guide is Born. The Honor of our creation and importance of the
viceroy. These 3 orifices take in air and the other 4 openings are the
two ears and 2 eyes, the hearing and seeing aspect of creation.
3 + 5= 8 The Soul with the secret of life is Ever Living (al-Hayat),
eternal Circle of Life. When we are born we die and when we die we are
born into a new reality. Each Ending is the Birth of a New Reality.
Contradictory reality. Allah is infinite and creation is an eternal
cycle. Ya Da’im Ya Da’im is describing the eternal journey. We are
always asking to have a good journey.
3 + 6= 9 3 + 6 [wadud] The Soul that opens the Secret of Divine Love
and opens the power of 9 which is the highest authority. 9 is the
Sultan, the king, Abdullah. Perfect submission is due to the secret of
the number 9, so the Heart of the Quran, Surah 36 Ya-Seen, is seen in
the mirror
Anytime we recite 11 times Surat al-Ikhlas, it relates to that secret
of the mirror of Creation; Allah’s Essence reflecting to Muhammad [s],
the Abd.
3 for the power of Three Holy Lights.
Seven relates to Hadi or perfection of the soul and perfection of our
form.
Then this perfect creation becomes a guide for all of creation.
When we recite seven times Surat al-Inshirah it is for the 7 holy
openings.
That is, the opening of the 7 holy openings of the face and the 7
levels of the heart.

Happy Birthday Our Beloved Master, Master of all Ahlul Bahyt, The
Sword of Allah , The Sword of Truth.

The Father of Sufism
The holy Prophet and Sufism
The roots of Sufism lie embedded in Islam itself. There are numerous
passages in the Holy Qur'an which are of a mystical character. The
holy Prophet of Islam p.b.u.h. himself displayed mystical inclinations
and he very often retired to the cave known as Hirah for the purpose
of devotions, meditation and contemplation. The holy Prophet was the
recipient of two types of revelations, one embodied the Holy Qur'an,
and the other illuminated his heart. The former was meant for all, the
latter for those selected few whose hearts could be illuminated with
the Divine Light. The knowledge of the holy Prophet was thus both book
knowledge (Ilm-i-Safina) and heart knowledge (Ilm-e-Sina). Hadrat Ali
received his heart knowledge from the holy Prophet. It is related that
after the Ascension, the holy Prophet awarded a mantle to Hadrat Ali
which led to the illumination of his heart.
Gnosis of God
According to Hadrat Ali the base of religion is the gnosis of God. He
held: "The height of gnosis is His confirmation. The height of
confirmation is tawhid. The height of tawhid is the acknowledgement of
the supremacy of God in all matters. He is beyond all attributes. No
particular attrib
ute can give an idea of His exact nature. He is not bound by anything;
all things are bound by Him. He is Infinite, limitless, boundless,
beyond time, beyond space, beyond imagination. Time does not affect
Him. He existed when there was nothing. He will exist forever. His
existence is not subject to the law of birth or death. He is manifest
in everything, yet He is distinct from everything. He is not the cause
of anything, yet everything is because of Him. He is unique and He has
no partner. He is the Creator. He creates as well as destroys. All
things are subject to His command. He orders something to be and it
is."
Hadrat Ali enjoined the severance of the heart from all things save
God. Hadrat Ali was asked what was the purest thing that could be
acquired, and he said, "It is that which belongs to a heart made rich
by God." When Hadrat Ali was asked about gnosis, he said, "I know God
by God, and I know that which is not by God by the light of God." When
asked whether he had seen God, he said that verily he had seen God for
he could not worship Him unless the knew Him.
Prayers to God
When Hadrat Ali used to pray, his hair would stand on end. He would
tremble and say, "The hour has come to fulfill a trust which the
heavens and the earth were unable to bear." Abu Darda an eminent
Companion of the holy Prophet said, "None in this world has excelled
Ali in prayer." While praying, so great was the intensity of his
emotions that he would fall into a swoon. It is related that on one
occasion, Abu Darda found Hadrat Ali lying rigid on the prayer mat,
and touching his cold body thought that Ali had breathed his last.
When he broke this news to Hadrat Fatima, she said that Hadrat Ali
often became unconscious while praying. Abu Darda wept profusely, and
then sprinkled some water on Hadrat Ali's face and he regained
consciousness. Seeing tears in the eyes of Abu Darda, Hadrat Ali said:
"Why are you crying? You shed tears when you see me in this state.
Imagine what will happen to me when the Angels dragged me into the
presence of God, and I am forced to render an account of my deeds.
They will blind me with fetters of iron, and present me before God,
and those of my friends who will happen to be witnesses will be
powerless to help me. They will lament my unhappy plight, but none
save God will be able to help me on that day."
Communion with God
Very often, Hadrat Ali would sob all night in his prayers to God, and
God would reward him with a glimpse of Inner Vision. According to
Hadrat Ali, the highest purpose of knowledge is the awakening of
latent spiritual faculties whereby one is enabled to discover his true
and inner self. It is to this inner self that God reveals Himself when
the self disappears in the vision of the "All Absorbing Reality."
Hadrat Ali often observed that man could have the joy and wonder of
communion with God if one abandoned pride, disciplined the flash,
overcame lust and submitted to the Will of God. He exhorted people in
his various sermons to not indulge in gross licentiousness which had
characterized Arab society in the "Days of Ignorance." But should
instead live in piety and simplicity as enjoined by Islam. Hadrat Ali
said, "Man is a wave in the boundless Sea of God. As long as man's
vision is clouded by ignorance and sensuality he will consider himself
to be a separate entity, different from God. But when the veil between
him and God is lifted, he will then know what he really is. The wave
will then merge with the ocean." Hadrat Ali held that enlightenment is
needed so that one can first get to know himself. Only then would he
get to know God. Hadrat Ali held that to this end religious exercises
must be practised. The Sufism for which Hadrat Ali stood, derived its
strength from the Shari'ah. Hadrat Ali preached that any form of
knowledge which failed to show the Infinite Reality in man was
useless, because it could not fill that vacuum in which the aching
soul in every individual was so pathetically conscious. Hadrat Ali
wanted men to be virtuous as virtues purify the soul, and it is only
the purified soul that can be the recipient of spiritual
enlightenment. This is the doctrine of Inner Light which was the
enunciated by Hadrat Ali as the core of Sufi thought. Accordingly,
Hadrat Ali is acknowledged as the "father of Sufism" and the prince of
saints.
Doctrine of preference
Hadrat Ali also enunciated the doctrine of preference. He stood for
and preferred the claims of others to his own claims. He gave an
outstanding demonstration of this doctrine when he slept on the bed of
the holy Prophet on the night of the holy Prophet's migration from
Mecca, when the infidels were seeking to slay him. Hadrat Ali risked
his life for the sake of the holy Prophet, because of the preference
that Hadrat Ali gave to the life of the holy Prophet as compared with
his own life. After the death of the holy Prophet, Hadrat Ali
considered that he was the most deserving person to be elected as the
Caliph. Yet, when his claims were overlooked and other persons were
elected as Caliphs, he offered them and allegiance in pursuance of the
doctrine of preference. It was this spirit of preference that
motivated Hadrat Ali to plunge in the thick of battle to meet the
challenge of the enemy regardless of his own personal safety. It is
related that after the Ascension, when the holy Prophet gave Hadrat
Ali a mantle, he asked him how he would use the mantle. Hadrat Ali
said that he would use it to cover the faults of others. The true Sufi
way lies in covering the faults of others.
Fasting
According to Hadrat Ali, fasting was not a mere formality or a ritual;
it was an exercise for the purification of the soul. Because of his
constant fasting, Hadrat Ali earned the epithets of "Qa'im-ul-
Lait" (praying most of the night without sleep); and "Sa'im-ul-
Nahar" (fasting mostly during the day). Hadrat Ali held that hunger
sharpens the intelligence and improves both the mind and health.
Hunger involves some affliction for the body, but it illumines the
heart, purifies the soul, and leads the spirit to the presence of God.
One who cultivates a his spiritual nature by means of hunger in order
to devote himself entirely to God and detach himself from worldly
ties, is at a much higher level than the person who cultivates his
body by means of gluttony and lust. Hadrat Ali acted on the advice of
the holy Prophet, "Fast so that perchance your hearts may seek God in
this world." And indeed, because of his fasting and other spiritual
exercises, Hadrat Ali did see God in this world. The holy Prophet had
enjoined, "When you fast, let your ear, your eye, your tongue, your
hand, and your every limb fast." Hadrat Ali followed this advice to
the letter as well in spirit. Through the discipline of fasting,
Hadrat Ali was able to subordinate the physical senses to spiritual
requirements in such a way that they could respond only to what was
pure and became dead to what was impure. Hadrat Ali thus led a
purified life.
Zakat
Hadrat Ali held: "Of the most meritorious acts of a believer, and one
of the most acceptable things to God is Zakat. It behoves everyone to
give charity, because from amongst the acts of worship, this is the
most pleasing to God."
In his sermons, Hadrat Ali exhorted the people in the following terms:
"O ye people, send a part of your wealth to God so that it may stand
you in good stead in the next world. Do not leave your entire wealth
here so that it will become a source of annoyance to you in the next
world."
In the annals of Arabs, Hatim Tai enjoys fame for his munificence and
generosity. Hadrat Ali outclassed Hatim in the matter of generosity.
Pilgrimage
Hadrat Ali was born in the Ka'bah. He had, therefore a strong
emotional attachment for the Ka'bah. Hadrat Ali observed that the holy
Ka'bah was located in a territory known for its stony wastes and
wilderness and where no water was available. God had ordained the
Muslims to bear the hardships involved in a journey through such an
inhospitable land cheerfully so that those very privations might
ultimately become a source of salvation. The pilgrimage is symbolic of
the fact that whatever hardship one bears in the trials of life and
endeavours to fulfill the will of God, he acquires goodness and
righteousness by them. The darkest thing in the world is the beloved's
house without the beloved. What is really important for a lover is the
beloved and not the house of the beloved. According to Hadrat Ali the
spirit of pilgrimage did not lie in a bare visit to the Ka'bah, it lay
in developing the inner vision whereby one could see God, the Lord of
the Ka'bah.
Jihad
Hadrat Ali held that jihad is the gateway to Paradise. He said: "God
has opened this gate for His friends. It is the mantle of piety. It is
the shield of faith. He who avoids it, God subjects him to disgrace."
Hadrat Ali held that jihad did not lie in merely taking up arms in the
cause of God, it means incessant struggle against falsehood it all
spheres of life. Jihad is the main pillar on which Islam rests.
Repentance
The first stage in the path of Sufism is repentance. Repentance is
described as the awakening of the soul from the slumber of
heedlessness so that the sinner becomes aware of his evil ways and
feels contrition for past disobedience. Hadrat Ali repeatedly prayed
for God's forgiveness. His typical prayer was: "O God, forgive me my
sins of which you are more aware than me. And if I commit these sins
again, even then forgive me and whatever promises I have made with
myself to follow Your commands that have not been fulfilled. I seek
Your forbearance. If I have sought Your proximity with my tongue, but
my heart has not kept pace with my tongue, then overlook my lapse. O
God, forgive me for my futile talk, vain desires and lapses of
tongue."
Detachment
Hadrat Ali admonished that while living in the world, one should not
renounce the world, still he should not have an undue attachment for
it because detachment from the world (Zuhd) is a means of attaining
God. It is related that someone begged Hadrat Ali to give him a
precept. Hadrat Ali said: "Do not let your wives and children be a
cause of concern for you, for if they be the friends of God, He will
look after His friends, and if they are the enemies of God, why should
you take care of God's enemies?"
Patience
In the mystic way, the traveller will meet many trials and
tribulations. God subjects His lovers to severe testing, and only he
will pass such tests who his patient. Hadrat Ali was the
personification patience, and for this he acquired the epithet of
"Job, the Second." In the battle of Uhud, Hadrat Ali received as many
as 61 wounds on his person so that his whole body looked like one
massive wound to which the nurses were unable to dress. Although
Hadrat Ali was in mortal agony, he said: "May God Grant me the
patience to bear this suffering. Is it not a favour of God that He
gave me the courage to stand and fight, and not to leave the field?"
About the patience of Hadrat Ali, Dr. Ata Mohyuddin writes as follows
in his Ali, the Superman: "Ali used to say that at no time in his life
had he ever known peace and tranquillity. From the time of infancy
when he was taken into the home of the holy Prophet, Ali felt the
ferment of turbulence and turmoil. The holy Prophet was constantly
persecuted by the Meccan pagans. And from adolescence onwards, Ali
was constantly fighting in jihad, and after the death of the holy
Prophet, he was embroiled against his wish, in the political intrigues
of others. Even when elected Caliph, the implacable enemies of Islam
arose and rebelled against him, yet he bore all these afflictions with
patience, thanking God that he had acquitted himself well in the tests
and trials to which the Almighty had thought fit to subject him."
Hadrat Ali, The Gate of Knowledge
Hadrat Ali was the most learned man of the age. He was a living
encyclopaedia of knowledge. The holy Prophet said, "If I am the City
of Knowledge, verily Ali is the Gate of it." He was the first person
to have learned the Holy Qur'an by heart. He possessed a prodigious
memory and he was a keen observer; he was a deep thinker; he had an
enlightened mind and he carried a vast storehouse of knowledge in his
brain. He was a versatile genius and he exhibited extraordinary
talents in all disciplines of knowledge. He was a master of philosophy
and rhetoric. He was a distinguished poet. He was a great teacher and
preacher. His knowledge extended to such disciplines as logic,
mathematics, physics, astronomy, medicine and history.
His concept of Knowledge
Hadrat Ali held that the principal aim of knowledge was the
inculcation of virtue, promotion of faith, and understanding of God.
He held that knowledge enlivens the soul, for it kills ignorance. He
defined knowledge as the sum total of excellence. He held that the
pursuit of knowledge is better than the pursuit of riches, that
knowledge is the ornament of the rich and the riches of the poor and
that knowledge is better than riches. He held that the learned live
even after their death. He maintained that the learned were the living
ones in the dead mass of ignorance. He observed that to respect the
learned was to respect God. With regards to the respect of the
teacher, he held that one who teaches you a letter binds you with the
fetter of gratitude. He maintained that the talk of the learned man
carried within it the fragrance of the garden of Paradise.
Superiority of knowledge over wealth
It is related that once ten learned men approached Hadrat Ali. They
wanted to know how knowledge was better than wealth and they requested
that each one of them be given a separate answer. Hadrat Ali answered
them as follows:
(1) Knowledge is the legacy of the Prophet, whereas wealth is the
inheritance of the Pharaohs. As the prophets are superior to the
Pharaohs, so knowledge is better than wealth.
(2) You have to guard your wealth, but knowledge will guard you.
Therefore, knowledge is better than wealth.
(3) When knowledge is distributed it increases. When wealth is
distributed it decreases. As such knowledge is better than wealth.
(4) A man of wealth has many enemies, while a man of knowledge has
many friends. Therefore knowledge is better than wealth.
(5) A learned man because of his wider outlook is apt to be generous,
while a rich man because of his love for money is apt to be miserly.
As such knowledge is better than wealth.
(6) Knowledge cannot be stolen, but wealth is constantly exposed to
the danger of being stolen. Accordingly, knowledge is better than
wealth.
(7) With the lapse of time, knowledge gains in depth and dimension.
Hoarded coins get rusty or cease to be legal tender. Therefore
knowledge is better than wealth.
(8) You can keep account of wealth because it is limited, but you
cannot keep account of knowledge because it is boundless. That is why
knowledge is better than wealth.
(9) Knowledge illuminates the mind, while wealth is apt to darken it.
Therefore knowledge is better than wealth.
(10) Knowledge is better than wealth, because knowledge induced the
holy Prophet to say to God "We worship Thee as we are Thy servants,"
while wealth engendered and Pharaoh and Nimrod caused the vanity that
made them claim godhead.

said that he would use it to cover the faults of others. The true Sufi
way lies in covering the faults of others.
Fasting
According to Hadrat Ali, fasting was not a mere formality or a ritual;
it was an exercise for the purification of the soul.

Obedience and the 3 States of Matter
From The Teachings of Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Qabbani
3 Levels of Obedience:
The Divine asks us to
“...enter houses through their proper doors” (2:189).
For every door there is a key, and the key for unlocking the door to
the heart is through obedience to the Divine will.
“Obey God, obey the Prophet (s) and obey those charged
with authority over you.” (4:59)
We are asking, and always Mawlana Shaykh is teaching us, to be under
the shade of these three trees of authority. They are like mighty oaks
which protect us from the storms and floods of this life. In times of
natural disasters, when floods and tsunamis are washing everything
away, what remains are the trees. And you see many times on the news
that people who are able to reach and hold on to the trunk of a tree
are able to survive the flood. Mawlana is teaching us that if we hold
to these three mighty trees we will quickly reach to our Lord’s
satisfaction.
As Prophet Jesus [as] taught in the Lord’s prayer,
“Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.”
For the gnostic and the knower of these Heavenly realities, this
supplication encompasses the entire spiritual path, which is to
surrender our will back to God. This comes through obedience to the
Divine, and obedience opens servant hood, because a servant must obey
their Master. But what is standing in our way is our ego. Therefore,
tariqat/Sufism teaches that the highest level to achieve is not a PhD
or a lawyer or an engineer. The highest level is to become a servant.
It is most difficult on the ego and it is most pleasing in Divine
Presence. God is saying, “I gave you free will. Now give it back to
me,” and that is the test of our life, to give back our free will out
of love for the Creator.
This concept, “obedience to God's will”, is the religion that all
Prophets brought to humanity. That is why all Prophets were saying,
“Samina wa atana” (2:285), which means “we hear and we obey”.
Who do we obey?
“Obey God, obey the Prophet (s) and obey those charged with authority
over you.” (4:59)
These three levels of obedience teach us a great deal about the Sufi
path because God’s first command is to obey Him, and Sufism comes and
teaches us to step back and humble ourselves and realize that we can
never truly obey God. That is why Sufism is a way of humbleness. It
comes against pride and it comes against arrogance by pointing out to
us that we are in need of support, and by teaching us that there is an
etiquette in how we approach the Divine Presence.
We must “...enter houses through their proper doors” (2:189). Don’t
think that you can obey God’s command so easily. That was a station
for the Prophets, not for us. They were hearing and speaking with the
Divine, and we are not hearing and speaking with the Divine. But the
ego is so quick to say, “I don’t need to listen to anyone. I don’t
need anyone else’s advice. I can connect directly to God.”
God knows that we are a weak creation, constantly sinning and making
mistakes. If we had to obey Him directly all of us would be in grave
danger because we are not obeying. Therefore, we must show some
humbleness in our approach. We are not Prophets, and we do not take
our orders directly from the Divine, therefore we must seek to obey
those who do.
“O ye who believe! Do your duty to God,
seek the means of approach unto Him” (5:35).
Don't approach God directly saying “I am who I am!” Don’t overstep
your authority and ask to connect directly to God. That is ok in the
beginning, but not when you are seeking to advance. Satan also wanted
a direct connection and he was very advanced! He didn’t accept Adam’s
authority and so he refused to bow, and for that he was thrown out of
Paradise even though for 70,000 years he was in complete worship of
the Divine.
The Divine is teaching you that there is an etiquette involved in
dealing with the King. You can’t just walk up and start speaking.
There is a particular way to approach the thrown. You must keep your
eyes down. You may have to drop to your knees, and if the King
appoints someone to represent him and vests authority in that person,
you can’t say, “No, I don’t accept.” If that is the protocol for Kings
in this world, what about the owner of the throne in Paradise?
So Mawlana is saying, “lower yourself. Don’t place yourself on the
level of Prophets. That is very dangerous.” Then God gives us another
way by asking us to obey the Messenger (s), and He also says,
“He who obeys the Messenger obeys Me.” (4:80).
God is saying “look to the Messenger (s). I have sent him to you to
teach you how to obey Me.” Prophet (s) is in complete submission to
the Divine – he has no will of his own.
Therefore, he acts as a mirror reflecting the Divine Presence towards
creation. However, Prophet (s) is not with us, so how can we imitate
his perfection? By obeying those charged with authority over us. That
means spiritual and temporal authority. You must obey the police, the
Mayor, the Governor, the Prime Minister and anyone who has been placed
in a position of authority because who gave them that authority? The
Divine! If it was not written and destined for that person to have
that job, how could it happen?
Tariqa comes to perfect our faith and learn to accept God’s will.
That opens the spiritual reality, because there is a spiritual
government just like there is a government in this material world. So
if you must obey material authority, it means you must also obey
spiritual authority, and there are Saints with different ranks and
stations in that spiritual government who are inheriting from the
Prophets. If you find them and follow them you will be in safety
because they are on authority and that authority is coming directly
from Divine presence.
As Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal said,
“O my son, you have to sit with the Sufis because they are like a
fountain of knowledge. They recite the remembrance of God in their
hearts. They are the ascetics, and they have the most spiritual power.
I do not know any people better than them.”
Saints are inheriting from the perfection of Prophet (s). Through
spiritual training and constant remembrance of God, they have purified
their hearts of all imperfections in character and in worship. It
means that their hearts have become like mirrors.
“Hold tight to the rope of God and do not separate.” (3:103)
Whereas Prophet (s) is a mirror reflecting the Divine Light towards
the Saints, the Saints in-turn are receiving the light of Prophet (s)
and reflecting it towards humanity in our time. The Saints of the
Naqshbandi Golden Chain are inheriting that light from Prophet (s)
through the lineage of 40 Grandshaykhs, beginning with Sayedena Abu
Bakr (r) and reaching us today with Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and His
Deputies Shaykh Hisham and Shaykh Adnan. That lineage is like a rope
reaching seekers in the 21st century and guiding them on their journey
towards the Divine.
Are You Chasing After The Material World
Who's Riding Hu
Unfortunately, people today are no longer following Saints - they are
only following their egos , Instead of riding your ego it is riding
you. It is a strange phenomenon because in every aspect of our
material lives we seek out experts. If we want to become a doctor, we
go to medical school. If we want to become a lawyer we go to law
school. In everything we do in life, we must learn from a teacher. You
cannot open a practice without that stamp of approval on your wall
that says you have been tested and verified as a real doctor by this
school – it is not allowed. But you ask people today what school are
you taking your spirituality from, they say “there is no need for
that. I can read the Holy Books myself and come to my own
conclusions.” For some reason, when it comes to spirituality many
people reject the concept of learning from a master and follow their
ego instead. But the Saints are teaching us that in dealing with
life's difficulties and trials, it is important to constantly be
guided and inspired by people more pious than ourselves.
“O ye who believe, fear God
and keep the company with those who are truthful.” (9:119)
3 States of Matter and the Shams al-Tabriz
“Obey God, obey the Prophet (s) and obey those in authority.” (4:59)
These three levels of obedience are also symbolic of the 3 states of
matter: solid, liquid and gas.
The Divine is like the gaseous state: we can't see it, we can't taste
it and we can't smell it. In our physical, solid form it is impossible
for us to interact with gas, and that is why God is saying “obey
Prophet (s)”.
Prophet (s) is symbolic of the liquid state which, like the gaseous
state, is impossible to follow because it has no form. Obedience to
Prophet (s) is like trying to hold liquid in our hand. Since we are
solid we must find those with form to guide us. It means we must seek
out a spiritual guide that we can learn from, one who is inheriting
from the spirituality of the Prophet (s).
We are Solid Ignorance, We are in need of Solid Faith / Qutub
These are the Saints who are dressed with the perfection of Prophet
(s) because they are reflecting his light. Therefore, when we look to
them we see the reality of Prophet (s), just as the essence of liquid
remains in its solid form. Through the Saints we begin to be dressed
with the attributes of servant hood that Prophet (s) exemplified, and
through servant hood we may enter the Divine Presence. To be a servant
means to be nothing, to be gaseous.
When we are trying to enter as something and someone it means that we
are still in a solid state, but you can’t have form in Divine
Presence.
To be in the presence of God, Almighty and Exalted, you must lose your
form like binary code.
Binary code is made-up of a series of 1’s and 0’s.
1 means you are “on” and symbolizes your form.
0 means you are off; you are in non-manifest-existence; you are in a
gaseous state. You must annihilate and efface your physicality if you
are to reach the presence of the 1, which is the oneness of the
Divine. It means you must become like a gaseous state, like a 0,
complete effacement in the Divine reality.
For matter to change states there must be a catalyst which creates a
change within that existing state. For example, for a solid to become
liquid requires tremendous heat.
In Sufism that catalyst is the spiritual Mentor, the Shams al-Tabriz.
According to a verbal tradition, once while Rumi was reading next to a
large stack of some books, Shams Tabriz, passing by, asked Rumi, "What
are you doing?" Rumi scoffingly replied, "Something you cannot
understand." On hearing this, Shams threw the stack of books into a
nearby pool of water. Rumi hastily took the books out of the water,
but to his surprise they were all dry. Rumi then asked Shams, "What is
this?" To which Shams replied, "Mowlana, this is what you cannot
understand."
Shams al-Tabriz was the name of Jalaludin Rumi's (q) teacher and his
name refers to the highest point of energy. “Shams” means sun in
Arabic, referring to the fact that the heart of Shams al-Tabriz was
like the sun - lit with the light of guidance. Tab-Riz means Highest
point of Heat.
When Mawlana Rumi met Shams he was very firm and very scholarly. It
means he was in a solid state, and he needed Shams al-Tabriz to melt
him into a liquid state because to understand the knowledge of Saints
requires a transformation. We cannot understand with book knowledge
only. Like the letter of the law without knowing the Spirit of the Law
– it is like trying to fit a square-block through a round hole.
REALITIES of Saints
there is an important hadith of Prophet (S):
Allah’s Messenger (S) said, “When Allah (SWT) created the Earth it
began to oscillate, so He created the Mountains, ordered them onto it,
and it became steady. The angels marveled at the strength of the
Mountains and asked their Lord whether there was anything in His
creation stronger than the Mountains, to which he replied that Iron
was stronger. They asked if anything in His creation was stronger than
Iron, and He replied that Fire was. They asked if anything in His
creation was stronger than Fire, and He replied that Water was. They
asked if anything in His creation was stronger than Water, and He
replied that Wind was.” {States of Matter Solid Liquid Gas}
As an aside, this Hadith specifies the stages of personal progress and
spiritual achievement.
78:7 And the mountains as pegs
The Mountains refer to the Awliya, the Saints of God, who through
great firmness of faith reach a station that corresponds with that
which stabilizes the Earth, i.e. they balance the universe with their
positive light and energy. The Mountain is unshakeable, solid and
stable, and perfectly describes the rank of the Friends of God and of
Prophet (S).
Through their further development and evolution, and the application
of spiritual power, Awliya then become Iron – absolutely firm and
unbreakable. Iron not from the Earth but Heavenly sent.
The next stage is Fire, wherein the Saint’s essence burns and is
ignited with the flame of Divine Power from the Presence of God, a
state that may melt even Iron. Afterwards, the Saint’s being and
container becomes Water, a fluid mountain which responds automatically
and instantaneously to the will of the Divine, and which may douse
even Fire.
This corresponds to a state wherein one is completely melted and
annihilated in Bahr ul-Qudra, the Ocean of Power wherein all creation
swims.
Lastly, Awliya may reach the station of Wind, pure Prophetic Essence,
subtle, ethereal, completely without mass – pure Divine Will.
55-29 In Every Moment in (new) Splendor doth He (shine)!
The Shams al-Tabriz exists in every time, symbolizing the Saints who
can melt our ego through the power of their heart.
They can melt us into a liquid state because they have the ability to
intensify energy. In Classical Islam there are many examples of how
the Grandshaykhs would melt ice or heat water just from their body
heat. For example, during his seclusions Grandshaykh Abdullah al-Fa’iz
ad-Daghestani used to use his spiritual power to melt a bucket of snow
so that he could make ablution. This shows us that Saints are able to
create a tremendous amount of spiritual heat, and through that secret
they are also melting their followers to take them towards liquid and
gaseous states.
The Saints teach us how to become servants, and that process begins to
melt the ego. In that process of melting we scream and struggle
because our ego, our identity and who we think we are, begins to burn
in that fire. It wants us to escape the fire. It doesn’t accept to be
nothing and to be burned away, but spiritual Masters are teaching us
to jump into the fire like the story of Prophet Abraham (as) who
jumped into the fire of Nimrod.
We said, "O Fire! be thou cool, and a means of safety for Abraham!"
(The Prophets 21:69)
All of the Prophets have something to teach us. The story of Prophet
Abraham (as) is teaching us that when you are lost in that love, throw
yourself into the fire. Fear of that fire symbolizes fear of faith,
but it is all an illusion. That fear is making us run away from faith
and from spiritual practices. It makes you think that if you become
spiritual you are going to be burned, but the reality is the opposite.
When you move towards faith, what appeared to you as a fire is
actually cool and peaceful once you are inside it. The Divine is
showing you that instead of running away, you should move into the
fire. That fire will burn our bad character, but once the bad
character goes that fire becomes a fire of love and it is all-
consuming.
Then when the Saints have melted us, we enter a liquid state and we
become like water. Water symbolizes submission Having a flowing
quality without harshness or abrupt breaks.
Whether you are poured into a bottle or into a cup, it no longer
matters. How do we reach to that liquid state? Submit! Submit to
everything by seeing every event in your life as coming directly from
God, because every event and every test in our life is like a fire.
Every time your boss yells at you, it represents that fire. The
question is, do you fight fire with fire?
Or do you throw water on the fire? It means, do you show no ego by
saying “thank you”? Answer back with love, not anger, and throw water
on the fire. The more we can put down our ego and respond with love,
means the faster Saints can melt us into that liquid state. That is
why, in the meditation you may feel your entire body heating up.
Saints are releasing that energy and literally melting you into that
liquid state. That liquid state occurs through love, as only love can
melt the heart.
When you are in a liquid state, it means you are submitting your will
to the Divine will. Once you are in that state you will be quickly
ascending because you are no longer fighting the Divine will. But in
your physical form, the ego is struggle against Heavenly orders,
making it incredibly difficult to accomplish one command from the
Divine. If you are told to pray, your ego makes you to skip it. If you
are supposed to meditate, your ego tells you to watch television
instead, and this becomes the biggest delay to our progress. But as we
move into a liquid state under the training of our spiritual Mentor,
the process begins to speed up because the ego is submitting.
Water flows in whatever direction the earth takes it. It doesn’t
decide where it wants to go. The student in that liquid state must be
the same, flowing in whatever direction the Divine is sending them. In
that state of submission and obedience to the Divine will, Saints are
able to quickly take us to the Divine Presence because to move from
liquid to a gaseous state is faster.
The most difficult part is to melt the physicality because it burns
the ego, but once we are in submission the Saints can increase their
energy and boil us into that gaseous state very quickly. Only in that
gaseous state can we understand and truly experience Divine Love. We
must be careful, however, because without spiritual practices we will
not be able to withstand the heat. Those practices and disciplines are
not empty or without purpose. They provide protection for us in our
ascension to the Divine Presence, and it is extremely important that
we do them.
To enter into a gaseous state means that you have reached annihilation
and completely effaced yourself in the light of your Mentor, in the
light of the Prophet (s) and in the light of the Divine Presence. In
that state of non-Manifestation the soul has the most power. It
becomes free to travel and move anywhere at the speed of light,
because gas is the most diffuse of all the states of matter. In the
solid form, the physicality puts roots into the soul. The liquid and
gaseous states, however, symbolize the increasing control of the soul
over the physicality and its ability to move independently of the
physical form. This is one of the secrets of the Shams al-Tabriz,
which is currently manifesting through the Saints of the Most
Distinguished Naqshbandi Order.

Obedience and the 3 States of Matter
From The Teachings of Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Qabbani

need anyone else’s advice.
They
asked if anything in His creation was stronger than Water, and He
replied that Wind was.” {States of Matter Solid Liquid Gas}

The Center of the Circle
Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani |
A`udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
Bismillah ir-rahman ir-raheem
The discipline of association is that someone speaks and the others
listen. Anyone can speak and the others can listen. But it is not the
discipline that everyone speak - then no one will listen. So in every
meeting, in every association, anyone who likes to say something, we
are happy to listen and that is why I am asking – I am not here to
speak. Anyone who likes to speak can take the lead and we will listen.
So if Shaykh Yassir likes to speak then go ahead. Just say, “I’d like
to speak.”
Would you like to speak? [no.]
Shaykh Hilal, I feel that I should ask you to speak; I request you to
speak. He is a Sufi shaykh that spent a great deal of time in his line
and he is close to me like a brother and I like him a lot.
If anyone likes to say something, they are welcome. Omar is hiding in
the corner there. Pakistanis always like to speak so would you like to
speak? [Omar: No. Because I am not Pakistani].
Allah swt said in the holy Qur’an “Ati`ullaha wa ati`ur-rasul wa uwlil-
amri minkum.” – “Obey Allah; obey the Prophet (s) and those in
authority among you.” [4:59]
Those who are on authority are taking care of us, and obedience is
necessary. Obedience to the Prophet is not just necessary, it is an
obligation. Whoever obeys the prophet obeys Allah, as Allah said in
the Qur'an:
Man yuti` ar-rasul faqad at`a-ullah. – “He who obeys the Messenger,
obeys Allah” [4:80].
This Islamic religion it is the religion that Allah swt wanted to
humanity. Sayyidina Musa Alayhissalam came with the Torah and then
advised his people. Then after came Jesus and advised his people. And
then Muhammad (s) came and advised his people. After that we did not
see anyone. These are the three main religions. And we as Muslims
believed in Jesus and are believing in Jesus and as Muslims we believe
in Moses. And believing in Jesus and believing in Moses means we are
believing I the bible and in the Taurat. That means that Islam did not
reject any religion, but it wrapped up all the religions together.
That is why we see the full moon came with Islam. Because before the
full moon, it is still growing. Thus with the religion that came with
David, and Noah and Abrahim, and Jesus it was growing. Until it
reached Sayyidina Muhammad and it became the full moon. After the full
moon it became perfect and there is nothing beyond that. It is a
circle. And the religion is described as a full moon.
In geometry the perfection of lines are not linear, they are circles,
because the end is with the beginning and the beginning is with the
end. Linear lines have a beginning and an end at one point. But with a
circle the beginning is the end and end is the beginning. Any point
you take as the circumference of the circle, can be described as the
beginning and the end. Annihilated together. That point became one
point. If it is on a linear line, it is two points. But on a circle
every point on the circumference has developed an understanding
between the beginning and the end. So Allah is guiding us and telling
us, “O humanity. What comes first with Adam, and what comes last, are
all equal, the same and together.” The Prophet (s) said, “La farqa
bayna arabeeya wa `ajameeyan illa bi-taqwa” – “There is no difference
between a believer and an unbeliever except in degree of
righteousness.” That shows we are all one. From Adam we came. That
circle has one center. It does not have two centers. You cannot
imaging two centers to a circle. That means that Allah is telling us
that this dunya, this circumference has a main important focus that
you must focus on. And that focus is the most important part of the
circle – the middle of the circle. From the middle of the circle the
radii are equal to any point on the circumference. That focus of that
center of that circle can reach anyone at any time.
And that is why we have to direct our eyes there. This is the only
place that we can reach from any point on the circumference to the
center and from the center to the circumference. And they relate to
each other – they are in the same environment. Or the same universe.
That is why everything we see, is mainly even in the physical eyes,
everything we see in the universe, with your eyes, and that might be
the main issue now, are mainly circles. The sun is a circle, or it
might not be a circle, we have a scientist, moon is a circle, Venus,
Mars and other planets are circles and they go on their orbits. As we
said, linear lines, you can imagine they have a beginning and an end.
But circles, the beginning and the end are merging with each as if
annihilating with each other that is why the Prophet (s) said, “Human
beings are equal like the teeth of the comb.” “An-naasu sawaaseeyatun
ka-asnaan al-masht. Kullukum min Adam wa Adam min turaab.”
You are the same, all of you and your focus has to be on the center,
and that is the most important point.
Everything has a center of gravity. If a patient goes to a doctor, the
doctor examines him and checks what kind of illness the patient has in
order to give him the right prescription. The doctor prescribes for
him after many tests, to give him the right medicine in order to hit
the sickness in that person and cure him. So any instrument or
anything in this life has a center of gravity. If that center of
gravity is not balanced what happens? It falls down. A car has a
center of gravity. If it exceeds that center of gravity, it will flip.
If a plane overshoots its center of gravity while turning, it will
fall down.
So a circle has a center of gravity – a focus. The circle has a center
of gravity and awliyaullah, Allah’s friends, which are living in every
century – there are awliyaullah. The Prophet (s) said in a holy
hadith, “awliya’ee tahta qibaabee. La ya`lamahum ghayree.” How do they
say, these so-called scholars of today that every mu’min is a wali. If
every mu’min is a wali, why does He have to hide him under a dome?
That contradicts that hadith of the Prophet. That hadith says that no
one knows them. If the hadith says that people don’t know them then
how do they say that every mu’min is a wali. Yes every mu’min is a
wali because not every Muslims is a mu’min. They don’t understand
that, but every Muslim is not a believer. Rijaalun sadaqu ma
`ahadAllaha alayh - "men who kept the covenant they made with Allah."
They kept that promise that they promised on the Day of Promises and
they did not change. They did not come to dunya and change. Fa-minhum
man qada nahba, wa minhum man yantadhir wa ma badalu tabdeleela -among
them are those who passed away and among them are those who wait and
they did not change in the least."
So these awliya look at their followers and they know what is their
weak point and they know that center of gravity of their selves. As
they balance for them those points, then these mureeds surrender and
become perfect. So that is why their vision of awliya , are not at
their images, inn Allah la yandhura… and that is the hear and the
heart is the point in the human which keeps them balanced. The Prophet
said, “inna fil jasadi…” if it is sound or pure, the whole body will
be sound or pure or if is corrupted or deteriorated or went bad the
whole body goes bad and that is the heart.
Mudgha is very small compared to the whole. That he said, “is the
heart.” He said, “mudgha.” It means a very small particle in Arabic.
The heart is not small. What we see is large. So it means in the heart
there is the heart of the heart. That heart of the heart. That is the
center where awliya look. That is where they are able to reach: five
levels: qalb, sirr, sirr as-sirr, khafa, akhfa. Qalb here does not mean
the meat – it is m`anawi - a spiritual realti. That is the spiritual
aspect. Like time is the fourth dimension on earth that we cannot see.
That consists of what we cannot see. Heart, secret, secret of the
secret…
First is wherever al gossips go and come, dunya-related issues. The
2nd is related to secrets, only awliya can see that. What goes beyond
the mind and understanding. Then secret of secret is a higher level.
Then hidden which only Prophet can see it and then akhfa which Allah
can reach. That is in you, but you have not reached.
Awliya look at that and know about you your destiny, your future your…
what is written for you. Allah gave them that power. They don’t need
to ask for your ID or your social security number. They know what you
are going to be. This is like blueprints of yourself. And we don’t
want to go deeper in that. Once we went into that what they are
finding in DNA and what is in every DNA.
So let us go back to where we began. That circle, every point on it
represents the beginning and represents the end. The most important
part of the circle is the center. That center draws the circle.
Without the center, you cannot draw the circumference. Without the
center how do you know the circumference. And even if you knew the
circumference you need a center. So if you don’t focus on that, you
are part of the circumference, if you don’t focus on the center of the
circle you lose everything. And that center is Muhammadu Rasulullah.
La ilaha ill-Allah has no center, no beginning and no end. Muhammadu
Rasulullah, has its beginning in its end and represents the creation.
So that focal point must be Muhammadu Rasulullah. He represents
everything that ma siw’Allah. Everything that is beyond the Creator is
the creation. Ma siwa hu is everything other than Him. Everything
other than Him is created. What represents creation? It is Muhammadun
rasulullah.
Awliyaullah from that circumference knew that reality. They were able
through their radii to establish that line form the circumference to
the center and they connect. Others are not. They have … although they
are on the circumference. They are not part of that. Everything on the
circumference. They know that they are human and they are created. But
what is between the center and the circumference –something is there.
What is there? It is space. It is empty. What is that? You see from
the center to the circumference, it is space. What is there?
All that Allah gave from the maqam al-ihsan and `ulum alawaaleen wal-
akhireen has been put in that space. So people on the circumference
cannot understand that until they establish a relationship/radius from
the center to the circumference. Until then they are on the
circumference. Understanding only what they can see. Inside represents
secrets. That is only for the Prophet (s) and the Prophet (s) is
giving for awliyaullah to know about that. Whatever is bestowed on the
Prophet (s) is in that empty space between center and circle.
For that reason people of today from different walks of life are, all
of us, everyone, we are wasting our time. We are not taking care of
that time that has been given to us which is limited to us. To reach
the highest way to understand what is in that space and to build a
relationship to the Prophet (s). People are as if looking at a big
huge mountain, and they see something on the top of the mountain -
they see something. They describe it as something. But they are at the
bottom. If they climb then they know what it is. They are only running
after shells. You know the shells--empty. They think everything they
see with their eyes is reality. It is completely illusions. An example
is the mirage you see on the desert or the highway. You arrive and
there is nothing. They build that up in their minds but in reality it
does not exist. What exists is only real issues. This dunya is not
real. If it was real, you would have been living and not dying. Before
us, centuries ago, the focus of people was only the `ulum ash-
shara`iyya and `ulum al-haqiqat. The disciplinary knowledge that shows
you where are your limits and the spiritual reality. And they were
happy and they were reaching a high level of learning and knowledge.
Today everyone is leaving that study and running towards dunya,
secular knowledge that we see today. This is a new invention/
phenomenom. This is a new invention and this is an old one. But what
it this new one going to benefit you? You are living 50-60 years, then
going. So our goal is not these. Our goal is what is real and what we
can take with us. And what can we take with us? Nothing except to be
realistic. To be realistic is to understand, as Sayyidina Ali, when
unbelievers came and questioned him, “show us that there is a creator
and then we believe.” He said, “show me your mind.” They said, we
cannot. Then he said, come to the shore. They went to the shore and he
said, “that boat is coming without a captain.” They said, “Ya `Ali how
can a boat come without a captain.” He said “wait until it arrives.”
When it arrived, the captain came down. They said, “O `Ali, you said
there is no captain, but look there is.”
…
The most important thing Mawlana taught us is belief. Everything is on
the side. If you believe you succeed. People who believe in akhira
left dunya. People who don’t believe in akhira run after dunya. And
those who are in between, one day on side of dunya and one day on the
side of akhira. La ilaha ula wa la ilaha ula, thumma amanu thumma
kafaru… muzazabeena…
one day one way the other day the other way.
Awliya understood that their focus is Muhammad. That he is `Abdullah.
The one who never questioned anything. Complete submission never
raised his head, never used his mind. Today when you say something,
they bring up hundreds of questions. Sayyidina Abu Bakr did not
question. He had not doubt. He said, “sadaqata ya Rasulullah.” At that
time you cannot see any problems. We here do you see problems.
Everything that comes from Allah is accepted. You say, “Ya Rabbi. I am
happy with what you gave me.” Look at homeless people ask them, “are
you happy?” they say, “Yes.” If they find a bit of food in garbage or
a little bit of water in a bottle, they are happy. Everyone has a
contentment if they can reach their level of contentment they are
happy. If these homeless people are happy how can we not be happy?
I know some people like, me, they complain about everything.
Everything they come from work they complained, they do this the
complaint. The wife complains. Everything today built on complaint.
50 years I accompanied Mawlana and I never heard him complain. He
never said, “he said this or that one said that.” Any difficulty
happened to him, he never said to anyone. He is in complete
submission. We are struggling we are not Mawlana shaykh. We have to
put in front of our eyes that this is what we are living for. To focus
on Muhammadun rasulullah. He is our way to Allah swt. He is our door
to Allah. It is not enough to say by tongue, but to believe in our
heart. Else everything is still closed.
One time, this is out of teaching. This is also teaching. One time I
was young with Grandshaykh and he said, “don’t read books.” One time.
Because nothing will be brought from these books except difficulties
or darkness on the heart. I did not understand what he meant until
later. Because reading too much will raise in you too many questions
and whatever people or scholars tell you, you begin to ask and
question them and you want to show them they are wrong and you are
right. It builds up your ego. So when you are not reading, whatever
someone tells you, you accept. That means if ilm is gong to build up
in you and make you more egoistic it is better for you not to learn
and be simple. Then they can send knowledge to your heart. As what
happened to Sayyidina Ahmad al-Badawi. That story I told many times.
When he was looking to reach the diving presence and he was seeking
the key to enter the Divine Presenceone person came out of the blue
and said, “I have the key for what you are asking to reach, the Divine
Presence. “
He said, “I am seeking the key for Allah swt.” he was one of the
biggest scholars of his time. I don’t take `ilm from you, who is worth
nothing. Like Hajji Iqbal. How am I going to take `ilm from you - you
don’t know Fatiha even – broken Fatiha. Like me I don’t know how to
reach anything, learning from Dr. Munir. So how am I going to accept
to learn from you. He is a physicist. He has 5 PhDs, and I have 10
PhDs. Dr. Nazeer Ahmad. I will never accept from him.
So he said, “I am not going to take from you.” Like Shaykh Salah with
long beard, beads in his hand. “How am I going to take from you?”
So he left him. So Sayyidina Ahmad al-Badawi was progressing in his
worship, progressing. Then he heard a voice, “Ya Ahmad! You want the
key to your treasures?” he was so happy, “Yes” then he heard, “that
man whom you rejected has it” that man was gone (6 moths later) he
went searching for that one, who was worth two cents in dunya but
infinitely value in the akhira. He could not find him – he had
disappeared.
Then in 6 months he saw him. Why 6 months, not six days?… now he said,
“I am ready, whatever you say.” Now he said, “no way. You need to do
something.”
When shaykhs come and offer you something don’t reject. He is offering
it free, later it will not be free. He said, “no I don’t want what you
offer me physically. That is of no concern to me. “
It does not mean anything to me. What matters to me is what you have
accomplished of knowledge in you life from your ego. It means what you
have studied. Whatever you have studied from your childhood to today
is all based on ego. How do I give it to you? he said, “do you agree
to give it to me?” he said, “Yes.” He said, “How can I don that”
Then he said, look in my eyes. He looked in his eyes and he took all
from his mind leaving him empty. Even he could not read Fatiha. He
took out all this from his heart all this knowledge he had achieved in
his life. Now if you say today this is Islam they say what is that?
They reject it, these "Internet scholars".
He was imam of his time in Egypt. Now he does not know how to read
Fatiha. Children ran after him stoning him calling him crazy. He was
teaching him patience. What is Allah’s final name of 99 names. Are we
patient? No one is patient? Who is patient? Him with his wife? Is he
patient? No one is patient. French are not patient, always fighting.
One French one came in now.
So he left him and after 6 months came to him, after children were
chasing him and calling him crazy. He came and said, “Now we will put
spiritual knowledge in your heart.” And he looked at him and began to
pour knowledge into his heart. At that time his heart became a
fountain of knowledge. Like the hadith of the Prophet (s) ma wasi`anee
sama’ee wa laa ardee wa laakin wasi`anee qalbi `abdee al-mumin—nether
My Heavens nor my earth contained Me but the heart of My believing
servant contained Me.”
He filled his heart up. His vision was filled up. That means that one
who came to him, that wali who built him up, was looking at that focal
point, that center of gravity. And filling it up. Filling it with what
it should contain. Most important was that he empty it and then he
could fill it. Then he could see what was between the circumference
and the center of the circle. Anyone looking at his eyes at that time
would faint. Then he put a burqah over his face or the people would
fall from that heavenly light.
Our duty is not to forget that Allah is calling us one day. If we are
all losing that kind of knowledge, the knowledge of Maqaam al-Ihsaan,
then how are we going to go to Allah and present ourselves are we
going to say, “I was a doctor, a businessman …” will that save us? No,
what will save us? I tried to be a faithful servant of Prophet
Muhammad. What will save us also is his mercy.
We are oppressors to ourselves. Allah said, “don’t praise yourself.”
Don’t give excuse to yourself. Admit you are not reaching to be a
perfect servant. You are progressing day by day but you have to do
more. What you are doing is not working. Your bank accounts are not
going to benefit. Your wives are not going to benefit you. Your
husbands are not going to benefit you. Everyone is responsible for
himself. You are a father, or son, or mother, or sister or daughter,
you are responsible for yourself. If you think you are achieving in
dunya, because people are focusing on how to live happy lives. But
they forget that they are spending 8-10 hours in office to achieve
their lives in dunya. They forget that they must put the same or
double for akhira. What are we doing for akhira. We pray and finish
quickly. We are commuting one hour, or 45 min. to reach our work and
going back and if rush one hour, going back. And then working 9 or 10
hours. It means 13 hours a day for work and you sleep 6 hours. And
then 4 hours on video and tv. And what are you spending on `ibadah? 5
minutes. That is if you pray 5 prayers. Multiply them 5 x 5 or 10 –
it is one hour. Then you say you are dong for Allah
Work for dunya as if you are living forever, and work for Allah as if
you are dying tomorrow. If someone comes and tells you he is dying of
cancer what happens. He is afraid and he will worship day and night.
So that concern has to be in our daily life. If we are not keeping in
our daily life we are losing.
Finally I must say, “We are not in a good time.” We are in a time that
the Prophet Muhammad (s) predicted. Coming very different days. When
these days come, and difficult as the Prophet (s) said, “the one who
is sitting is better than the one who is standing and the one standing
is better than the one who is running.” That means done involve
yourself in any kind of darkness that is running over this dunya now.
A lot of problems are now going to face the whole world, and if that
comes, it means a lot of things behind it. Awliyaullah are expecting
as in authentic hadith, la taqum as-sa`ati hatta taqtulu fiataan
adheemataan… there is expected a big war. We hope that does not
happen. But when the Prophet (s) said, something, we expect it to
happen.
But we are peaceful people and we back up from such issues. But make
sure you have enough preparation for such difficulties that if you
need to focus more, when these things come, focus more on your
spirituality from today. Those who are on haqq, truth, are going to be
in a good situation, and they may be Muslim or not. And who is on
baatil are going to be in the bad situation. And those who are on
baatil can be Muslim or non-Muslim--those whose intentions are bad. So
those whose intentions are good, Muslim and non-Muslim and they are on
haqq they are going to continue, and they are going to see Mahdi and
`Isa Alayhissalam. Those who are on baatil are going to leave. And
Allah said, “qad jaa al-haqq wa zahaq al-baatila inna al-baatila kaana
zahooqa”
Falsehood is going this is coming in front of us. Keep yourself
protected. Obey Allah, obey the Prophet and obey your leaders.
Wa min Allah at-tawfiq.
Bi-hurmatil fatiha.
[Khatm (Dhikr)]
Ramadan is coming soon, might be Wednesday, might be Tuesday. Mawlana
is sending something to touch upon. Whatever we learn, still there is
more. Wherever we go deeper in knowledge, we find ourselves shrinking
in front of Allah’s Greatness. As much as we are in the ego side we
are feeling that egoistic self in ourselves, we feel ourselves great.
But as awliya go deep in knowledge, throwing the skin of the ego and
dumping it and sinking the ocean of Allah’s knowledge they will see
themselves nothing.
Everything has a meaning. Even every small letter that we don’t notice
has a significance. If we don’t open that tap of knowledge then we
might not be able to drink – water does not come. Awliya sometimes
send drops. You have to be ready to get that drop. That drop is like
an ocean for us. It is drop for them. And what they get from the
Prophet is a drop from him but for them it is an ocean.
To show the greatness of the heavy knowledge that they send, from a
drop we are drowning. Allah said in the holy Qur’an Allah said, nun
wal-qalami wa maa yasturoon – Nun, by the Pen and that which they
write.”
He said “Nun! And the Pen and what they write.” Yusatir in Arabic
means what the pen, in a very eloquent way to describe in English,
when we write something we say we are compiling or like an author
writing. But wal-qalami wa maa yasturun means “the Pen and what it
writes by itself” --something with no end.
Why is Allah giving an oath with the letter Nun? What is the
significance of that oath. That `ilm, Dr. Nazeer, there is no one who
can teach that `ilm except Mawlana Shaykh. Wherever you go from east
to west from Sufi teachers or from spiritual teacher or from Shari`ah
teacher, no one can open from that tap and open from the fresh
knowledge except now very few awliya. Now Mawlana Shaykh, may Allah
bless him, is gifting us these pieces of knowledge. Know Allah’s
Greatness and how small you are. Nun. I am giving an oath in Nun. Nun,
If you look at the alphabet. It comes nun hah waw yah. What come
before kaf qaf lam mim. The nun describes the creation. Because
Allah, when he created, his will came to create creation, amruhu bayn
al-kafi wal-nun. His order is between the kaf and the nun. So as soon
His will to the kaf comes, nun follows. Creation follows. And when he
described nun wal-qalam wa ma yasturun. What expresses creation – it
is the pen and history.
So in your books, when you wrote the history of Islam, what did you
do? You used a pen to represent the history. What is that history –
what does it represent. It represents creation--what came to be.
Kaf is heavenly. When He wanted it to happen, without saying nun, and
it happened. It happened with his utterance of kaf. What I between
kaf? Lam and mim. Kaf represents the Will of Allah for something to
happen. And his order is between kaf and nun. And that describes the
appearance that happened.
That oath is the Big Bang that caused all to appear. That knowledge
came into existence. Where is that knowledge. So lam and mim came
between kaf and nun. What is kaf and mim.
Lam goes back to Allah. Lam is part of his name Allah. Ilah – alif
describes the Creator and hah describes the creator. And lam came in
the middle. So between kaf and nun, lam goes to malakut – the heavenly
kingdom and worldly kingdom. And mim represents Muhammad. that is why
you see alif, lam mim… in the Qur’an too much. Lam refers to Allah. La
ilaha ill-Allah. Mim goes to Muhammad. The creation is lam and mim.
That is between the kaf and nun. Before the kaf is what? Qaf. Because
qaf represents Qur’an. Qaf, wal Qur’an il-majeed. He gave an oath by
Qur’an.
Qaf relates to akhira. Nun relates to dunya. Qaf/Qur’an came before
creation. It is not created it is Allah’s Ancient Word—kalaamullah al-
qadeemi. It is His Ancient Speech. Al-rahman `alam al-Qur’an, khalaqal-
insaan. That is why qaf before kaf. That is `ilm that awliya throw out
to open the minds of people. What is hah waw yah? We leave to next
time.
Bi-hurmati 'l-Fatiha.
Unlock The Secrets of The muqatta'at
http://nurmuhammad.com/IlmHuroof/IlmHuroofArticles/HadithofMuqattaat.htm
About one-quarter of the Quranic Surahs are preceded by mysterious
letter-symbols called muqatta'at – disjointed letters or,
occasionally, Fawatih – openings because they appear at the beginning
of the relevant Surahs.
It is related that Abu Bakr as-Siddiq said:
في كل كتاب سر، وسره في القرآن فواتح القرآن
For every book there is a secret and all of its secrets are in the
Qur`an in the
opening letters of the chapters.
Al-Hasan said, " The Quran has knowledge of everything
and the knowledge of the Quran is in the Huroof
which are the letters in the beginning of the chapters.
And Ibn Abbas said,
The beginning opening letters of the
chapters are taken from the names of Allāh.
Abu Aliyyah agreed and said:
There is not a letter except it is a
key for one of the names of Allah;
* the Alif is the key for His name Allah, {see Abjad Table}
* Lam for Latif,
* Mim for Malik,
* Sad for Sadiq,
* Ra for Rabb,
* Kaf for Karim,
* Ta for Tayyib,
* Sin for Sam'i,
* Ha for Hamid,
* Qaf for Qadir,
* Nun for Nur,
* Ha for Hadi,
* 'Ayn for Alim and
* Ya for Yaqin.
And he quoted from Ibn Abbas:
Without a doubt, the opening of the chapters
using the huruf is Allah`s Greatest Name.
As-Sady said:
{{{{{{{…When Allah wants to make someone and Wali, he teaches him from
'ilm ladduni, then he becomes a knowledgeable wali. }}}}}}}}}}}
And he endows him from 99 names , with a name which opens it.
This is not open for the scholar by investigation or research.
Then He elevates him to the knowledge of internal and external
meanings of the names.
The external is what is related to Allah.
And after that He teaches him the internal aspects which are the
singular huruf which is 14 letters { 14th Letter is Nun- Quran says
"nun wala qalam" Noon and by the Pen} which occurs in the opening
chapters and the are luminous letters. Thereafter he understands them,
Allah teaches him the Greatest Name in which if he were to make
supplication with he would be answer and if he ask by it, he will be
given.
Al-Yafi said in ad-Durr an-Nadhin:
Dhun-Nun said, "Allah's Greatness Name is the speed in which when
asked by it, he is answered and it is seven letters. And in the Umm al-
Qur'an (al-Fatihah), there are seven verses that consist of all the
letters of the `alphabets` except seven letters;
fa , jim, shin, tha, thaw, kha and zay.
(al-Yafi continues):
For each of these letters is a specific day from the days of the weak,
and a spiritual custodian and a special name for it.
Kha is for Sunday
and its custodian is the Angel Rawfa'il
and the special name for it is Khabir
Shin is for Monday
and its custodian is the Angel Jibr'il
with the special name for it is Shakir.
Zay is for Tuesday
and its custodian (servant) is Angel Samsama'il
and the special name for it is Zaki
thaw is for Wednesday and its custodian is Mika'il
and the special name for it is Tahir
Tha is for Thursday and its custodian is Sirfaya'il
and the special name for it is Thabit.
Jim is for Friday and its custodian is 'Anya'il
the the special name for it is Jabbar.
Fa is for Saturday and its custodian is 'Azra'il
and the special name for it is Fatir.
It is said that Allah's Greatest Name is contained therein these
letters. In the book Manbah Usul al-Hikmah, that ash-Shaykh as-Sunusi
used to make dua by it by saying:
By the right "Bi Haqq" : fa , jim, shin, tha, thaw, kha and
zay.
As far as the Huroof that occurs in the beginning of the chapters,
there are 29 which are:
* ALif Lam Mim,
* Alif Lam Ra,
* Alif Lam Mim Sad,
* Ha Mim,
* Ha Mim Ayn Sin Qaf,
* Kaf Haa Ya Ayn Sad,
* Ya Seen
* Ta Haa,
* Ta Sin,
* Qaf
* and Nun.
Its singularities are:
Alif, Lam, Mim, Ha, Ra, Kaf, Ha, Ya, Ayn, Sin, Qaf, Sad, Ta and Nun.
It numbers 14 letters and they are what are called illumination. It is
half of the arabic alphabet by count. The scholars differ in its
interpretation, it is reported that Ibn Abbas said, "The scholars are
unable to grasp it meanings. Ash-Sh'abi said, "It is the secret of
Allah, so don’t seek it.[1]
Abu Talib al-Maliki said in his Provisions of the Hearts, Ali (ra)
used to make the supplication:
O Kaf Ha Ya 'Ayn Sad, I seek refuge in you from the sins that
constitutes wrath, or reverses blessing or removes protection or
withholds the rain from falling or increases enemies against me. O
Allah, help us against ourselves.
It was narrated that Ibn 'Iyyadh said:
Kaf Ha Ya 'Ayn Sad :
* means that Kaf is for the Sufficient (Kafi),
* Ha is from the Guide (Hadi),
* Ya is from Certainty (Yaqin),
* 'Ayn is from Knower (Alim)
* and Sad is for Truthful (Sadiq).
As-Sayyin al-Murtadha az-Zubaydi said:
They are the names of Allah but some differ with others on which ones.
It is also a sigh to the attributes.
It is said in the commentary of al-Watajini that the Huroof are
symbolic meanings of the chapters of the Qur'an and that none knows
its meanings except the the Rabbaniyyun. And at-Tirmidhi said the
opening of the chapters has signs that are condensed (within the
letters), no one knows them except Hakims of the ummah.
Ibn al-'Arabi said:
You must know that all the letters (muqatta'at ) in the beginnings of
the chapters are the names of Angels . I have related them in some
occurrences. There are none among the Angels that appeared (to me)
except that it informed me on knowledge I didn’t know about before. In
general, they are my Shaykhs. If I uttered any of those letters, it is
equivalent to calling out and the angel answers it because it's
directed to them.
Ash-Shaykh Abu al-Hasan said,
"Ha Mim are two secrets from yours and a light which issues from you."
And he also said, "By the sanctity of 70{ Ya-10, Seen-60 equal 70Ayn-
Ayn Vision Aleem is Knowledge: and 80 is Fa and Fa Fatiha } and it
secrets are from you to the Muhammad (saw)."
(The author said) The meaning of this is that these letters are
symbols and signs between Allah and His Prophet (saw). Al-Bakhi in the
commentary of the Hizb al-Bahr by ash-Shaykh Abu al-Hasan on the
number 80 and 70 that’s mentioned before, "It is the number of the
letters which are described in the opening (illuminating) chapters,
the 29 letters.
One of the Grand Shaykhs of the Shadhuli said, "I saw in a dream
something in a way I differed from the scholars when Allah says, Kaf
Ha Ya 'Ayn Sad, and Allah made me say, "It’s a secrets between Allah
and the Messenger of Allah (saw)." It is as if Allah said about the
Messenger of Allah (saw),
* "You are the cave (from Kaf) of existence[1], which all
existence seeks refuge to,
* (for the Ha), the Mulk and the Malakut are for your
pleasure. { Hayat is Life}
* O (from Ya) source { beseech}
* (from 'Ayn) for all, you are my attributes { Alim is by
word, word is the Proof}
* (from Sad, attributes) who obeys you, obeys Allah. You are
our lives, our king, our trust and our imminence"
Ibn Sultan said of this, "The scholars didn’t agree on the meaning of
this. So I said, "Let us go to the Messenger of Allah (saw) and he
said, "What ibn Sultan said is the truth. In general, everything that
is said regarding the illuminating letters, are based on the degree of
his unveiling and what level he is in."
Prophet {S} Teaching of the Abjad Table:
Jabir bin ‘abd-Allah bin Rabbah said:
Abu Yasir bin Akhtab was among a group of Jews and passed by the
Messenger of Allāh and he was reciting Fatihah, Alif Lam Mim, This is
the Book………
Then his brother Hayy bin Akhtab went to the Jews and said, “By Allah,
I heard Muhammad recite what was revealed to him.
They said, “You heard this? He said, “Yes.” So he walked with this
group to the Messenger of Allah and they said, “Did Jibril bring you
this from Allah?
He said, “Yes. They said, “Allah has brought before you Prophets.
We only know a prophet by the extent of his reign. And what was the
extent of his nation. One of them brought what was with him and said,
* “Alif is one,
* Lam is thirty 30 and
* Mim is forty 40 and this is 71 years.
* Do you wish to enter the religion of a Prophet when only
the extent of his reign and the age of his nation are only 71 years?
Then he came to the Messenger of Allah (saw) and said, “O Muhammad, is
there anything else besides this? He said, Yes!
He said, “What is it?
He recited Alif Lam Mim Sad.
He said, “This is more!
He said, “Alif is one, Lam is 30 thirty, Mim is 40 forty and Sad is 90
and this is 161 years.
He said, “O Muhammad is there more? He said,
“Yes! He said,
“What is it?
He said Alim Lam Ra. He said, “This is more!
He said, “Alif is one, Lam is 30 thirty and Ra is 200 two hundred
which is 231 years.
He said, “O Muhammad is there more?
He said, “Yes! He said, “What is it?
He said Alim Lam Mim Ra. He said, “This is more!
He said, “Alif is one , Lam is thirty, Mim is 40 forty and 200 Ra is
two hundred and this is 271 years.
They said, “We are confused about your matter,
O Muhammad, until we have absolutely no ideal what you’ve been given.”
Then they stood to leave and
Abu Yasir said to his brother and the rabbis with him,
“Perhaps it is not known to you because it is all for Muhammad, 71,
61, 100, 231, 271 is 734. and more that was not calculated” They said,
“This is confusing to us.”

A Star is Born and Enlightenment
Sayedena Muhammad Najm Thagib The Piercing Star {s}
said follow anyone of my Sahabi They are Like Stars.
Awliya when they reach Enlightment all creation will see that light as
a Star.
What is a Star?
The basic difference between a star and a planet is that a star emits
light produced in its interior by fusion reactions (nuclear
`burning'), whereas a planet only shines by reflected light.
The Sun { Qalb Level of the Heart } is our own special star yet, as
stars go, it is a very average star.
There are stars far brighter, fainter, hotter and cooler than the Sun.
Basically, however, all the stars we can see in the sky are objects
similar to the Sun.
The Sun (and any other star) is a great ball of gas held together by
its own gravity. The force of gravity is continually trying to force
the Sun towards its centre and if there were not some other force
counteracting it the Sun would collapse.
The necessary outward pressure is produced by the radiation from the
nuclear energy generation in the Sun's interior.
How do stars originate?
Stars form from concentrations in huge interstellar gas clouds. {amma}
These contract due to their own gravitational pull. As the cloud gets
smaller it loses some of the energy stored in it as potential
gravitational energy.
This is turned into heat which in the early days of the embryo star
can easily escape and so the gas cloud stays cool.
As the cloud's density rises it gets more and more difficult for the
heat to get out and so the centre gets hot.
If the cloud is big enough the temperature rise is sufficient for
nuclear reactions to take place.
This generates more heat and the `burning' of hydrogen into helium
takes place, as in the Sun.
The object is then a star.
a Wali is Born
Qalb/Sun
The Early Evolution of a Star
In its early stages the embryo star is still surrounded by the remains
of the original gas cloud, from which it formed.
By this stage the cloud remnant takes the form of a disk around the
star.
The radiation from the star gradually dissipates this disk, possibly
leaving behind a system of smaller objects, planets.
The Main-Sequence
The star now settles down to a long period of stability while the
hydrogen at its centre is converted into helium with the release of an
enormous amount of energy.
This stage is called the main-sequence stage, a reference to the
classical color-magnitude or
Most stars lie in a well defined band in the diagram and the only
parameter that determines where in the band they lie is the star's
mass.
The more massive a star is the quicker it `burns' up its hydrogen and
hence the brighter, bigger and hotter it is.
The rapid conversion of hydrogen into helium also means that the
hydrogen gets used up sooner for the more massive stars than for the
smaller ones.
Stars do not all evolve in the same way. Once again it is the star's
mass that determines how they change.
MEDIUM MASS STARS: Stars similar in mass to the Sun `burn' hydrogen
into helium in their centres during the main-sequence phase but
eventually there is no hydrogen left in the centre to provide the
necessary radiation pressure to balance gravity.
The centre of the star thus contracts until it is hot enough for
helium to be converted into carbon.
The hydrogen in a shell continues to `burn' into helium but the outer
layers of the star have to expand.
RED GIANT [ Red LEvel of the Heart}
This makes the star appear brighter and cooler and it becomes a red
giant. { Sir secret }
During the red giant phase a star often loses a lot of its outer
layers which are blown away by the radiation coming from below.
Eventually, in the more massive stars of the group the carbon may be
`burnt' to even heavier elements but eventually the energy generation
will fizzle out and the star will collapse to what is called a
`degenerate white dwarf'.
White- Level of the Heart Secret of Secrets
Sir Sir White
SMALL MASS STARS: Our knowledge of the evolution of these stars is
purely theoretical because their main sequence stage lasts longer than
the present age of the Universe, so none of the stars in this mass
range has evolved this far!
We believe that the evolution will proceed as for the medium mass
stars except that the temperature in the interior will never rise high
enough for helium `burning' to start.
The hydrogen will continue to `burn' in a shell but will eventually be
all used up. The star will then just get cooler and cooler ending up
after about 1,000,000,000,000 years as a `black dwarf'. The Khafa
HIGH MASS STARS: There are very few stars with masses greater than
five times the mass of the Sun but their evolution ends in a very
spectacular fashion. As was said above, these stars go through their
evolutionary stages very quickly compared to the Sun.
Like medium mass stars, they `burn' all the hydrogen at their centres
and continue with a hydrogen `burning' shell and central helium
`burning'.
They become brighter and cooler on the outside and are called red
supergiants.
Carbon `burning' can develop at the star's centre and a complex set of
element `burning' shells can develop towards the end of the star's
life.
During this stage many different chemical elements will be produced in
the star and the central temperature will approach 100,000,000 degrees
Kelvin.
For all the elements up to iron the addition of more nucleons to the
nucleus produces energy and so yields a small contribution to the
balance inside the star between gravity and radiation.
To add more nucleons to the iron nucleus requires energy and so once
the centre of the star consists of iron no more energy can be
extracted.
{{ Beginning of the State of Fana or Annihilation }}]
The star's core then has no resistance to the force of gravity and
once it starts to contract a very rapid collapse will take place.
The protons and electrons combine to give a core composed of neutrons
and a vast amount of gravitational energy is released.
This energy is sufficient to blow away all the outer parts of the star
in a violent explosion and the star becomes a supernova.
{ Khafa Secrets of Qiyama Zilzalahh Quaking of Mass}
The light of this one star is then as bright as that from all the
other 100,000,000,000 stars in the galaxy.
{{Going to the Ahkfa the Black Holes.}}}
During this explosive phase all the elements with atomic weights
greater than iron are formed and, together with the rest of the outer
regions of the star are blown out into interstellar space.
The central core of neutrons is left as a neutron star which could be
a pulsar.
What is remarkable about this is that the first stars were composed
almost entirely of hydrogen and helium and there were no oxygen,
nitrogen, iron, or any of the other elements that are necessary for
life.
These were all produced inside massive stars and were all spread
throughout space by such supernovae events. We are made up of material
that has been processed at least once, and probably several times,
inside stars.
Binding energy
The basic building blocks of atoms are protons neutrons and electrons.
Protons and neutrons can be split into quarks but this takes place at
energies higher than are found in stars.
The binding energy of atomic nuclei plotted against the atomic number
of the nuclei. Energy is released by the fusion of light elements into
heavier elements (elements on the left) or the fission of heavy
elements into lighter elements (elements on the right).
Iron is the highest element on the graph, and the most stable. It
cannot release energy through either fusion or fission.
Protons carry a positive charge and reside with neutrons in the
nucleus of an atom. At room temperature the atom contains the same
number of electrons as there are protons in the nucleus, which makes
the atom electrically neutral.
It is the electrons that define the physical and chemical properties
of the elements as we experience them on Earth.
An atom of hydrogen has one proton and one orbiting electron while an
atom of iron-56 has 26 electrons surrounding a nucleus containing 26
protons and 30 neutrons. The normal notation is 56Fe. It is the number
of protons that defines the identity of an element. For each element
the number of neutrons can vary and atoms with the same number of
protons but differing numbers of neutrons are referred to as isotopes.
For example iron has stable isotopes with 28, 30 and 31 neutrons.
The neutrons and protons are held together in the nucleus by the
'strong force'.
The strong force only acts over very small distances but is able to
overcome the electrostatic repulsion between protons.
The most tightly bound nuclei are those close to iron in the periodic
table of elements. The tightness of this binding is measured by the
binding energy per nucleon where 'nucleon' is a collective name for
neutrons and protons.
It is also sometimes called the mass defect per nucleon. This reflects
the fact that the total mass of the nucleus is less than the sum of
the mass of the individual neutrons and protons that formed the
nucleus.
The difference in mass is equivalent to the energy released in forming
the nucleus. The graph plots binding energy as a function of atomic
number or number of nucleons per atom.
The general decrease in binding energy beyond iron is caused by the
fact that, as the nucleus gets bigger, the ability of the strong force
to counteract the electrostatic force between the protons becomes
weaker.
The peaks in binding energy at 4,8,16 and 24 nucleons is a consequence
of the great stability of helium-4 a combination of two protons and
two neutrons. The maximum binding energy at iron means that elements
lighter than iron release energy when fused.
This is the source of energy in stars and hydrogen bombs. From the
graph it can be seen that the greatest release of energy occurs fusing
hydrogen to form helium. { Dhikr HUuuuu}
Elements heavier than iron only release energy when split, as was the
case with the plutonium and uranium used in the first atomic bombs.
Elements heavier than iron are made in stars by capturing neutrons
onto atomic nuclei. This takes place in some red giants and in
supernovae explosions. A new isotope is created when an atom captures
a neutron. If this isotope is unstable then a neutron can convert into
a proton, releasing an electron.
This is called beta decay and is a form of radioactive decay also
observed on Earth. By converting a neutron into a proton the atom has
increased its atomic number by one and become the adjacent element in
the periodic table.
It may then capture another neutron, and so on, so that using iron as
seed nuclei it is possible to build all the elements heavier than iron
in the periodic table.
The difference between element synthesis in red giants and supernovae
is that in supernovae the flux of neutrons is greater and it is
possible for the atom to capture a second, or third neutron, before it
has a chance to beta-decay. This leads to the production of a
different set of elements to those produced in red giants, where the
flux of neutrons is much less.

Stars form from concentrations in huge interstellar gas clouds. {amma}

RED GIANT [ Red LEvel of the Heart}
This makes the star appear brighter and cooler and it becomes a red
giant. { Sir secret }
{ Khafa Secrets of Qiyama Zilzalahh Quaking of Mass}
The light of this one star is then as bright as that from all the
other 100,000,000,000 stars in the galaxy.
{{Going to the Ahkfa the Black Holes.}}}
